Installation of a Weather Station and Sensor Systems in a Grapevine Nursery
SST has completed the design, installation, and software integration of a weather station and sensor systems across 12.6 hectares at the Mukhrani experimental fields of the Agricultural University of Georgia.
This project is unique for Georgia - it carries not only commercial value but also scientific and educational significance.
By integrating smart technologies into Georgia’s first certified grapevine nursery, one of the world's best practices in agricultural management has been introduced. The nursery enables on-site production of both rootstocks and scion materials required for vine propagation.
The project also serves an educational purpose: students and lecturers of the Agricultural University have the opportunity to explore smart technologies in agriculture, learn the specifications of working with them, and deepen their knowledge.
Installed Sensor Systems:
-
Weather station;
-
Tensiometer;
-
Leaf wetness sensor;
-
iSCOUT insect monitoring system;
-
Soil moisture sensor;
-
