Air Quality Monitoring at Khibula Public School
Khibula Public School N 1 has become the first educational institution in Georgia to implement a modern air monitoring system. Using sensors from the American brand Davis Instruments, the school now monitors the students' environment in real-time.
What has changed for the school?
As a result of the installation, students and teachers have access to precise data directly linked to children's health:
-
AQI (Air Quality Index): The system measures air pollution levels and provides information on when it is safe to be outdoors
-
Microclimate Control: Constant monitoring of temperature, humidity, and Heat Index.
-
Recommendations: The system automatically determines the best time for physical activity and signals when classrooms need ventilation.
Why is this important?
This project is more than just a technological innovation - it is a commitment to student health and safety. Data-driven insights help the school make the best, health-focused decisions for children at all times.
Project Support: This initiative was implemented with funding from the Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN).
