SST fully equipped six vineyard plots of the company Tbilvino, located in the Kakheti region and covering a total of 471 hectares, with modern technologies – agro-meteorological stations, sensors, and a hail protection system.

The integration of agro-meteorological stations and sensors enables the planning of agrotechnical activities based on real-time data, helping to reduce risks, optimize resource use, and achieve high-quality and abundant yields with lower costs.

The hail protection system safeguards the vineyard from destructive hail damage. The device emits sonic shock waves directed at storm clouds reaching up to 15 km in height, preventing the formation, aggregation, and solidification of ice crystals into hailstones. As part of the project, 45 hectares of vineyard area will be protected from hail.

Sensor systems installed on the plots are manufactured by the Austrian company Metos by Pessl Instruments, including:

• Agro-meteorological stations

• Irrigation monitoring systems

• Pest and disease monitoring systems
   

The hail protection system is manufactured by the Spanish company Grupo SPAG. One unit effectively protects up to 80 hectares.
