Anti-Hail System in Kakheti: A Collaboration Between SST and GG Wine
Company SST has successfully implemented another successful agrotechnological project in Georgia. In the Kakheti region, the vineyards of GG Wine are now equipped with an anti-hail system, providing a guarantee for crop safety.
Technological Advantage and Principle of Operation
As part of the project, a system manufactured by the Spanish brand, GRUPO SPAG, was installed, representing one of the most effective solutions in modern agriculture. The device's operating mechanism is based on supersonic technology:
The device emits supersonic shockwaves every 7 seconds, which increases air resistance. Upon multiple contacts with these waves, hail stones naturally begin to melt, reducing the chance of them falling to the ground in solid form.
Project Scale
The unit is designed for a wide area and fully protects up to 80 hectares, which will minimize agro-losses caused by climatic conditions.
SST continues to implement innovative agrotechnologies throughout Georgia to create a sustainable and protected development environment for Georgian farmers.
