Design and Installation of Sensor Systems in a
Blueberry Orchard
At the request of the company “Agro +,” SST designed and installed an agro-meteorological station and sensor systems in a 25-hectare blueberry orchard.
Through the integration of these systems, the orchard owner and agronomist are now able to make data-driven decisions, reduce risks, manage water and other resources more efficiently, plan agro-technical activities, and achieve high-quality yields with minimal costs.
The following sensor systems were installed as part of the project:
-
μMETOS 300-USW – Agro-meteorological station;
-
nMETOS 80SM – Micro meteorological station for the greenhouse;
-
SENTEK D&D TRISCAN – Soil moisture (VWC), salinity, and temperature sensor;
-
PESSL PI54-D – Soil moisture (VWC) and temperature sensor;
-
WATERMARK SENSOR – Soil moisture (water tension) sensor / tensiometer.
Location: Tskaltubo Municipality, Village of Gubistskali
