The project was implemented by SST, which equipped the farm with the latest agro-meteorological stations and irrigation management systems from the Austrian brand, METOS by Pessl Instruments.

Agro-meteorological stations and sensor systems are an integral part of modern agribusiness. With the help of integrated sensors, farmers are empowered to precisely manage processes and plan agricultural activities regardless of climatic changes.
 

Key System Capabilities:
Disease Management and Forecasting: The technology allows for real-time, accurate information on the probability of 13 specific walnut diseases spreading. Data analysis ensures maximum crop protection and optimal planning of preventive treatments.
Precise Meteorological Monitoring: The station measures and analyzes critical climatic parameters with high precision:

• Air temperature and humidity;

• Wind direction, average speed, and gusts;

• Precipitation amount (mm);

• Daily Evapotranspiration (ETo);

• Solar radiation and sunshine duration (min);

• Dew Point, VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit), and Delta T;

• Weather Forecast: Detailed 3, 7, and 14-day forecasts.

Optimal Resource Allocation: Data obtained from the system assists farmers in the rational use of water, fertilizers, and other resources, which directly impacts crop quality and production costs.
