One of SST’s flagship national-level projects is the implementation of an early warning system, within the framework of which Earth Networks lightning sensors have been installed in Tbilisi and Kakheti.

Through these sensors:

• Government agencies gain the ability to receive advance notifications about extreme weather events and sudden weather deterioration (lightning, storms, hail, etc.), helping ensure a safer environment for citizens.

• Farmers and owners of anti-hail systems receive early warnings about potential hail events, allowing them to activate their systems in time and minimize crop damage.
   

The platform provides users with alerts about expected severe weather conditions (lightning, storms, hail, etc.) 45 to 60 minutes in advance.
